Aims of the Journal

The Journal of Surgical Research and Innovation aims to provide a scholarly platform for sharing scientific research, clinical experience, and emerging developments across the field of surgery. The journal encourages contributions that improve understanding of surgical diseases, explore new treatment approaches, and support the advancement of safe, effective, and patient-centered surgical care. It seeks to connect researchers, surgeons, clinicians, and healthcare professionals through the exchange of knowledge and ideas that can contribute to the continued development of surgical practice. The journal welcomes original research articles, review papers, case reports, case series, clinical studies, and other relevant scholarly contributions covering a broad range of surgical specialties. Topics include general surgery, minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery, surgical oncology, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, pediatric surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, trauma and emergency surgery, and transplant surgery. The journal also considers research on innovative surgical techniques, robotic-assisted procedures, surgical instruments and technologies, perioperative management, anesthesia-related surgical care, postoperative recovery, wound healing, surgical infections, patient safety, clinical outcomes, and evidence-based surgical decision-making. Research involving surgical education, quality improvement, digital health applications, and emerging technologies in surgical practice is also welcome.
