Journal of Marine Aquaculture and Fisheries
Open Access Peer Reviewed Quarterly Publication
Aims of the Journal
The Journal of Marine Aquaculture and Fisheries aims to provide a platform for the dissemination of scientific knowledge and research findings in marine science, aquaculture, and fisheries. The journal encourages studies that improve understanding of aquatic organisms, support responsible fisheries practices, and explore practical solutions to challenges affecting aquatic food production and marine environments. It seeks to connect researchers, fisheries scientists, aquaculture professionals, and environmental specialists through the exchange of research, ideas, and innovative approaches that contribute to the sustainable use of aquatic resources. The journal welcomes original research articles, review papers, case studies, short communications, and other scholarly contributions covering a broad range of topics in marine aquaculture and fisheries science. Areas of interest include marine and freshwater aquaculture, fish biology, fish breeding and genetics, aquatic animal nutrition, fish physiology, fish health and disease management, hatchery technology, and the development of improved aquaculture systems. The journal also considers research on fisheries management, marine biodiversity, aquatic ecology, ocean and coastal resources, fish population dynamics, fishing technologies, post-harvest handling, seafood quality and safety, and the socioeconomic aspects of fisheries and aquaculture. Studies addressing climate change, water quality, aquatic pollution, habitat conservation, invasive species, and the environmental effects of aquaculture are also encouraged. In addition, the journal welcomes research on sustainable aquaculture practices, recirculating aquaculture systems, integrated multi-trophic aquaculture, aquatic biotechnology, fishery resource assessment, and emerging technologies for monitoring and managing aquatic ecosystems. By supporting interdisciplinary research and practical innovation, the journal aims to contribute to sustainable aquatic food production, biodiversity conservation, and the responsible development of marine and fisheries resources.
